Hutchinson ORGANIZERS FOR A BLACK HISTORY observance set for this Sunday, February 28, at 3 p.m. in the elementary school, met Tuesday to put finishing touches on the program, “Achievements Through God’s Amazing Grace.” According to planners Rachel Aylor, Lottie Aylor, Alfreda Broadus front, left to right, Bertha Freeman and Charlotte Aylor, (rear) special guest speaker will be the Rev. Donahue Scott, pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Orange. Mrs. Broadus, president of the Wpman’s Auxiliary of Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association, sponsor of Sunday’s activities, said the program will feature music and speeches honoring black figures who have “left footprints in the sands of time.”
