The proposed ordinance revisions specify that rightsof-way serving proposed residential developments must be a minimum of 50 feet wide if traffic count plus the impact of the proposed development (using seven trips per dwelling per day) exceeds 50 vehicles per day.

For traffic counts over 150 vehicles per day, roads must be paved to a minimum width of 16 feet. If the traffic count tops 300 vehicles per day, then roads serving the development must meet all state specificatipns.

The draft revisions also stipulate that proposed residential development must not result in the loss or degradation of natural resources, including prime agricultural and forestal lands; environmentally sensitive areas; prominent or unusual geologic features or areas critical to the existence of important types of flora and fauna.
