In ,this extremely /cold winter that we are now experiencing there is more danger of frostbite for some people than others Women are more prone to frostbite than men Husbands are constantly complaining of their wives' cold feet The reason for this is that there is a vasospasm, or clamping down of the blood vessels in the toes of the foot to conserve blood for the rest of the body This happens more quickly in a woman than a man. Because of this fact women, especially those in the elderly age bracket and those with diabetes or other vascular problems, will be very prone to getting frostbitten toes within a relatively short period of time at these extremely reduced temperatures Remember your teet must last a lifetime
