The Amissville Ruritan Club held its February meeting 01* the 24th at which time the annual budget report was presented by the Ways and Means and Finance committees.
Newly elected officers who were installed in January included Gilbert Lawrence, president; Edward Lawrence, vice president; Wayne Fordham. secretary and Charlie Mills, secretary.
Two new members were initiated at the February meeting: Clarence Dodson and Wayne Kanaby, both of Viewtown. Kanaby volunteered to act as publicity director for the club, and provided the following update of the group's activities: The Amissville Ruritan Club is a volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to making the community a better place in which to live. Proceeds from the various fund raisers are used for an annual scholarship to an outstanding high school senior of Rappahannock; aid . for a local child to attend Sursum Corda School;
