CHRIS WHITE
Receives
DAR Award
The Rappahannock Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Revolution have presented a DAR Good Citizenship award to Paul Christopher White, a student at Wakefield Country Day School.
According to DAR Regent Mrs. Walter E. Height, White was chosen on the basis of a questionnaire completed by Wakefield students.
"Chris White’s intellectual acuity is one of his most striking features," said Wakefield headmaster Dr. William Lynn, Jr. “He is especially interested in political philosophy, and while all his ideas are not completely formed, he is at least thinking deeply about matters of substance. He is at this point refreshingly patriotic and is sensible about most political questions. Just as in his editorials, his deep respect for authority and traditional values highlights his oft expressed views and opinions." Lynn concluded. Christopher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Tucker White of Winchester.
