"I understand the needs.” Estes told superintendent Robert Estabrook at Monday’s hearing on the school budget. “Personally, I think it’s a good idea but not this year.”

I have to live in the real fiscal world but as the educational advisor to the school board. I’d be remiss if l didn’t tell you that we have very real needs (for additional space) at the high school.”
“I don’t question that you have the need but we do have other items now in progress," saidjistes, referring to the ongoing construction of the new combination school bus shop/central office and the renovation of the county jail scheduled for this year. “We should complete those before we take any more steps."
