The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department is holding a public auction Saturday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the fire hall. Come out and support your local fire department. The public is invited.

The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary desperately needs young ladies ages 13-18 to run for honorary fire chief. Girls who have been honorary fire chief before are welcome to run again. The young lady who wins will receive $100. Also needed are girls ages 6-12 to run for carnival queen. The winner will receive $50.
