“Why?" asked Wood.
“We have a problem with this thing,” said Estes, referring to the proposed budget and its necessary tax rate.
“Yes, I think it’s a problem — 58 cents — but I think we can do something about that by Monday," Wood countered, suggesting his fellow board members review the budget with an eye toward making cuts.
“You know as well as I do the items that are really hurting us,” rejoined Estes. “We’re locked into the state’s values for land use.
