Spring Concert
I he Choral Society of Culpeper w ill present its annual spring concert on Thursday, May 12, at 8 p.m. in the Culpeper Haptist Church.
Over 40 singers, soloists and instrumentalists under the direction of Lois Shanks w ill perform a wide variety of selections ranging from Haydn to Gershw in. Admission is free.
Teacher Open House
Spectra School of Design in Flint Hill will hold an open house this Sunday. May 1, for artists, craftspeople and others interested in teaching in summer programs.
In addition to design and building, proposed summer topics include graphics, writing, sculpture, painting, pottery, computers, landscaping, history, dance, horseback riding, theater, color and forging with month, week and day camps plannedfor all ages. Suggestions for additional courses are welcome.
The open house for prospective teachers will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Spectra is located just north of Flint Hill on Route 522. For further information, call 675-2288.
RAAC Presents From
Mao to Mozart
Isaac Stern and his violin won an award for this musical travelogue, to be presented at the Gay Street Theatre Saturday at 8:00 and Sunday at 7:00. Also showing will be Huang Shan Mountain, a shorter film provided courtesy of the Chinese Embassy. Tickets are available at the door, or use your RAAG film series membership.
Ribbon Culling at Park
Ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication of the Rappahannock County Park will take place on Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m.
Tennis and basketball exhibits are planned and free refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
