According to the Washington Post, former town resident Allan Ryan, the Justice Department’s top sleuth in hunting down and prosecuting Nazi war criminals in the United States, is leaving that position to open a private law practice in D.C.
Ryan, who in 1980 was named head of the department’s newly created Office of Special Investigations, has just finished a book which is scheduled to come out in October about his work at Justice. Reportedly, his new practice will consist of civil law, at least for the time being.
