In asking for adoption of the budget as submitted by the School Board, Bob Dennis noted that his daughter has already graduated from RCHS and his son will be a senior there next year. Improvements in the educational program will come “too late for them,” but even with no children in the public schools, “we’re more than happy to pay our share of the tax load,” Dennis said.
Speaking as both an educator and a parent, Laurie Marshall asked the supervisors to remember the last time they spent seven hours with their children, then add three more hours alloted to in preparation for that time together and multiply by 20 children.
