Mrs. Ernestine Williams Brooks, 74, of Front Royal, died Wednesday, April 18, 1964, at her residence.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday at the Mt. Morris Baptist Church by the Rev. J. P. Battimore. Burial was in Mt. Morris Cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks was bom April 19, 1909, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Wade and Mary Pinkett Williams. She was a member of the Mt. Morris Baptist Church, the church Usher Board and the choir. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Primitive Baptist Second National Kectocton Association. She was married to the late Alfred Brown Brooks.
Surviving are one daughter, Ida Dowe of Front Royal; two foster daughters, Pear lie Payne and Annie Robertson, both of Front Royal; three brothers, Charlie Williams of Front Royal, Willie Williams of Falls Church and Raymond Williams of Culpeper; one sister, Laura Hughes of Harrisburg, Pa. and two grandchildren.
Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front' Royal was in charge of arrangements.
