Surprise 21st
Birthday
Chris Foster of Flint Hill was host to a surprise birthday dinner party for Angela Facchina on Saturday, April 14 at the home of his parents, Gavor and Shirley Foster in Flint Hill.
Guests for the festive occasion were Dr. and Mrs. Robert J. Rodgers, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Foster, Mrs. Frances Chadwell and Mrs. Ertha Corbin, all of Flint Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Corbin of Fredericksburg, Mrs. Delores Corbin of Hartwood and Rev. Hoover Heflin of Front Royal.
Those sending gifts but unable to attend were Milton and Mildred Hawkins of Washington and Russie Miller of Flint Hill. Miss Facchina received many lovely gifts.
Cancer Drive
The annual Crusade of the Rappahannock unit of the American Cancer Society is now in its final week.
“Our volunteers who have been collecting door-todoor have tried, to -get around to everybody,” said fund drive chairman Jule Konick. “But if somebody who would like to make a contribution has been missed, they can call me at my home at 937-4364.” She added that donations to the Cancer Society may also be dropped off at the law offices of David Konick in Washington.
