Encore Performance

An encore performance of “Where I’m Cornin’ From,” the musical about and by Rappahannock’s young people, will be presented Friday and Saturday, May 4 and 5, at the Gay Street Theater in Washington. The curtain will rise at 8 p.m. both nights.

Tickets at $3.50 for adults, $2 for children, students and senior citizens, are available in advance from Middle Street Gallery and Nature’s Foods. Proceeds will benefit Rappahannock’s 4H cooperative summer day camp and the camp’s scholarship program.

High Blood Pressure

The film “Feelin’ Fine,” a presentation of the American Heart Association, will be shown on May 3 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. Actor Eddie Albert narrates the film, which discusses what senior citizens should know about high blood pressure.

Vivian Tumau, area field consultant for the Virginia Heart Association, and Frances Thornton, Rappahannock Heart Unit Medical and Community Program chairwoman, will discuss the film and offer tips on living with high blood pressure.

Reunion Plans Continue

Homemakers Hold Open House

In observance of Extension Homemakers’ Week, May 6-12, Rappahannock’s Extension Clubs will hold an open house at the Rappahannock County Elementary School on Saturday, May 5, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Activities will include pre-schooler fingerprinting, free blood pressure checks, breast selfexamination film and information, an exhibit on the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center, an arts and crafts show and recreation for young people.
