Their mission is to save lives and protect property. When called into action, they respond immediately and urgently. Rappahannock’s volunteer fire departments and rescue squads are there when needed, regardless of weather, time of day or night or personal inconvenience. With fundraising time at hand, these volunteers again are seeking private contributions to keep them providing the best service possible. The following is a brief report on these fundraising activities.
Ainissville
Amissville now is in the midst of its annual fund drive. To date, 1,175 letters soliciting support have been mailed; 148 responses received. Donations at present total $4,668.00.
