The 1984-85 SRA and minimum competency test results have been released, and Rappahannock students have again done well.
The SRA (Student Research Associates) tests were administered to fourth, eighth and eleventh graders in March and April. The students were tested on reading, mathematics, language arts, social studies, science and on general ability.
The results of the tests are listed in the form of a percentile ranking that can be compared to other localities and to the national average. For example, a rank of 58 (or 58th percentile) in mathematics for the eighth grade would mean that the average mathematics score for Rappahannock students would be higher than the scores received by 58 percent of the students in the nation. The state rankings also are compared to the national average.
