A teacher accepted into the program is then matched with a teacher of the same subjects from another country. C urrie will be teaching woodworking. metal working, drawing and Plastics in England, but he will be teaching students from age 11 to 16 and he will have to become accustomed to the different methods of testing and grading at Heath field.
This has been a career goal for me. t urrie said. “When I first got out of college, I looked into teaching overseas and was disappointed to find out that I needed two to three years of experience." This past year was Currie’s third year at RCHS, and he decided to begin sending in applications to exchange organizations and the Department of Defense. He also looked into doing the exchange on his own.
C urrie said that he has always been interested-in different ways of life and cultures. He and his wife, Lisa, took a two-month car trip across the U.S. once, and he has been to Canada and Mexico. “Since I’ve done all of
