Benefit Fun Day Scheduled
A “Fun Day” has been scheduled for Saturday, June 29 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Rappahannock Community Center on the Fodderstack Road. Games, bake goods, sandwiches, cold drinks and entertainment will be among the many activities going on throughout the day according to a spokesperson. Ladies Auxiliary To Meet
The Ladies Auxiliary of Flint Hill will meet on Monday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall. It is a very important meeting and all members are urged to attend.
Talent Showcase
The movie screen will be dark this weekend as the schedule breaks in favor of live entertainment: The annual RAAC Talent Show. The event will once again reveal the performing gifts available in the county. Plan to come, or plan to perform. It’s an evening of fun and entertainment. The show will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 8 p.m. in the Gay St. Theater.
Honorary Fire Chief Contestants Needed
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department needs girls between the ages of 13 and 19 to run for Miss Honorary Fire Chief 1985. Girls living in the areas of Chester Gap, Huntly, Lake Front Royal, First Blue Ridge Mountain Estates and surrounding areas may run. Jenkins Family Reunion Scheduled
The third annual family reunion of the late Aubrey R. and Ellen Baker Jenkins has been scheduled for Sunday, July 21 at the Rappahannock Park on Route 211 near Washington. All relatives and friends are invited. For additional information call 675-3662.
