Judge John Alexander took personal and financial factors into consideration when sentencing two men during Tuesday’s General District Court for driving while intoxicated. Both William James Bedortha and Michael Burthelle Huffman were fined $200 in addition to $20 costs, sentenced to 30 days in jail and their licenses were suspended for six months. Judge Alexander then suspended $150 of their fines and suspended the jail sentence conditioned on their enrollment and completion of ASAP. They will also be issued restricted licenses for driving to and from work upon their ASAP enrollments. Other cases decided Tuesday included:
