Thomas Rutledge of Glennside, Pennsylvania, brother-in-law of the groom, Peter Powell of Lancaster, New Hampshire, brother-in-law of the bride and Barry Porter of Denver, Colorado. David Powell, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Barry Porter also sang “The Wedding Song” and “Wither Thou Goest” prior to the ceremony.
Betty Jo Henry served as mistress of ceremonies. Fran Stringfellow, aunt of the bride, attended the guest book. Betty Settle served the wedding cake and Debbie Knighting was gift attendant.
Rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s parents at Culpeper Country Club.
A lawn reception was held at the home of the bride.
The bride is a 1981 graduate of James Madison University.
The groom is a 1981 graduate of VPI & SU. He is currently attending the University of Colorado and is an engineer with Martin Marietta Denver Aerospace.
Following a honeymoon to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Denver.
