Merrill departed from Dulles Airport on Monday enroute to his home in De Bary, Fla., after spending 16 days here with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bailey, and family. Mrs. John Norman and daughter Leslie, Mrs. Leon Bailey and son Jonathan accompanied Mr. Merrill to the airport. Mr. Merrill formerly operated the Merrill Motor Co. here in town, where we now have a cafe and post office. Come back to see us soon, Mr. Merrill.

Mr. and Mrs. James Beatty and son of Point of Woods, Front Royal, visited Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown and Amanda on Tuesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., and children, Amanda and Stacey, entertained Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown and Amanda for supper Wednesday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Griffey and children Danielle and Jeremy of Manassas are spending this week with Mrs. Griffey’s parents Mr. and Mrs. George Bain.

Mrs. Charles Burke accompanied Mrs. Thomas Kidwell and daughter Paula to Culpeper on Tuesday afternoon and visited with Miss Bernice Dodson.

Mrs. Alice Beahm visited Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., Stacey and Amanda, on Friday.

Luncheon guests Sunday of Mrs. Erma Jenkins were Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Butler and daughter Alicia, Mr. and Mrs. May Waltons and son Stanley of McLean and Charles Butler of Woodville.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Clark Crews of Manassas visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crews, Wednesday evening. Mrs. Crews says they are getting ready for her daughter Katherine’s wedding the last of August.

Col. and Mrs. Vince Petruskie and son Brian of Manassas were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. 0. Bridges.

Mr. and Mrs. John Schultz entertained at dinner Sunday evening at Skyline for their daughters and families, Mrs. Donna D’Ottavis and sons Alao, Gianni, and Maris of Sioux City, Iowa, who are visiting for awhile, and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Sengstack and son Eric of Springfield.

Mrs. Edna Wayland visited her cousin Marvin Wilson of Goldvein in Fauquier Hospital on Saturday.
