The Rappahannock News now has a watchful eye to record life in the county.
Greg Turner, a 1978 graduate of Rappahannock County High School, has accepted a position as part-time photographer for the Rappahannock News.
It is only fitting. Turner began his photography career right here in Rappahannock, shooting photos for the high school yearbook.
Bom in Michigan, Turner moved to Rappahannock when he was 12 and, in his words, “grew up here.”
After graduation Turner enlisted in the Navy where, as a navigator, he attained the rank of E-4, Petty Officer 3rd class. Following his honorable discharge four years later, Turner returned to Virginia and worked for Heritage Studios, a portrait company in Richmond
