Jennifer FitzSimons, daughter of William H. FitzSimons of Flint Hill, received the top student award for the 1984-85 academic year at Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, N. C., during the university’s awards and honors night.
Miss FitzSimons won the award for outstanding graduating senior in French.
She was both vice-president and president of the university anthropology club and a member of the French club and of Sigma Gamma Epsilon honor society.
