Recently Mr. and Mrs. Frank McWhirt of Chestnut Hills attended Homecoming at Berea Baptist Church in Falmouth.

Later in the afternoon they visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter N. McWhirt and friends, Mr. and Mrs. William Murphy all of Fredericksburg.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Elliott of Charlottesville were recent dinner guests of the McWhirts.

Mr. and Mrs. McWhirt recently visited friends in McLean, Falls Church and Arlington in celebration of Mrs. McWhirt’8 birthday.

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley celebrated the Labor Day holiday with a family gathering on Sunday.

It’s a girl!!

Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Farmer of Fairfax City are the parents of a daughter, Katie Ann, born September 6. She weighed eight pounds and eight ounces.

Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bumgardner of Arlington and Mrs. Shirley Farmer of Washington.
