James E. Clatterbuck

James Edward Clatterbuck, 59, of Woodstock, died Saturday, September 6 at Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital, Woodstock.

Mr. Clatterbuck was born March 4, 1927, in Sperryville, son of Rosie Helen Frazier Clatterbuck of Front Royal and the late James Howard Clatterbuck. He was a member and deacon of the Bethel Assembly of God Church. He was a retired welder for the FMC Corporation.

Surviving with his mother are his wife, Betty Shank Clatterbuck; one son, James Emmanuel Clatterbuck of Woodstock; three daughters, Anna Bernice Clatterbuck and Mary Rebekah Clatterbuck, both of Vienna and Sharon Ruth Neff of Woodstock.

Additional survivors include five sisters, Mary Dunton of Maryland and Margie Willingham, Patricia Ramball, Alice Thomas and Jennella Frazier,, all of Front Royal; five brothers, John Milton Clatterbuck of Manassas, Joseph Abraham Clatterbuck of Front Royal and Lonnie Gene Clatterbuck, Cletus Harvey Clatterbuck and Robert Leon Clatterbuck, all of Sperryville; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services were held at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, near Front Royal, with the Rev. Irving Johnson and the Rev. Keith Forkey officiating. Burial was at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Perry, Mike Tennontt, Ronnie Combs, Randall Daughtery, Gary McClanahan and the Rev. Gerald Holden.

Board members of the church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Assembly of God Church, Front Royal.
