Theodore Carpenter
Theodore R. (Ted) Carpenter, 80, of Rochester, New York, and formerly of Culpeper County, died Monday, September 1 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York. Mr. Carpenter was a member of Nazareth Baptist Church, Boston, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta Carpenter of Rochester, N.Y.; two sisters, Mildred Taylor and Helen Carpenter, both of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Arthur P. Carpenter of Washington, D.C. and Clyde A. Carpenter of Culpeper; his mother-in-law, Zephyr Glasker of Woodville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Nazareth Baptist Church on Saturday, September 6, with the Rev. Howard Frye of Huntly officiating. Interment was in the family section of the Church Cemetery.
W. C. Thompson’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
