Charles W. Jenkins Sr

Charles Williams Jenkins Sr., 54, of Front Royal, died Monday, September 8 in the Warren Memorial Hospital. He was born June 26, 1932 in Flint Hill, the son of the late Carroll and Ira Pullen Jenkins. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict serv-, ing in the Army. He was a member of the Rivermont Baptist Church, a member of the Giles B. Cook Post #53 of the American Legion and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #829. He was a retired driver with Safeway.

Surviving are his wife, Ina Grace Jenkins of Front Royal; four sons, Charles W. Jenkins Jr. and Duane E. Jenkins, both of Richmond, Lawrence W. Jenkins of Severan, Md. and David E. Jenkins of Front Royal; two daughters, Paula Cole and Sandra C. Jenkins, both of Arbutus, Md.; two brothers, Lewis C. Jenkins of Texas and Roscoe Jack Jenkins of Front Royal; one sister, Virginia Tobin of Front Royal; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from the Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, with the Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Interment was in the Sperryville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were members of the Giles B. Cook Post #53 of the American Legion. They also presented the flag at the cemetery.
