Homecoming
at NVCC set
The first annual homecoming celebration at Northern Virginia Community College will take place October 3 and 4. The NVCC Alumni Federation will be the host.
A “Welcome Home” reception will take place Friday, October 3, at the Woodbridge Campus of NVCC from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The reception will be held in the lower level reception area at 15200 Neabsco Mills Road, Woodbridge.
Free concerts by popular light rock, oldies but goodies, jazz and bluegrass bands will take place Saturday, October 4, at the Annandale Campus of NVCC beginning at noon in front of the cafeteria area at 8333 Little River Turnpike, Annandale. The “Three-Wheel Drive” band playing oldies but goodies and light rock will perform as will NVCC’s jazz ensemble, “The NOVA Sound.”
Also performing will be “Arlie Walton and the Hand Picked” playing bluegrass.
Robert Garcia, news director of WLTT-EM Radio and NVCC alumnus, will be master of ceremonies at the band spectacular.
Two tickets to the Washington Redskins/Vikings football game will be raffled.
