Auction at
Highland School
Parents, friends, and alumni of Highland School will again kick off the holiday season on the evening of Nov. 22, with the eighth annual fund raising auction celebration with a Classic Christmas theme.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 7:30 by Kidwell Caterers while bids are entered on a wide variety of silent auction items. The Sugarplum Shoppe will feature baked goods and stocking stuffers for Thanksgiving and holiday entertaining.
The main event of the evening will pick up at 9 when Auctioneer Sonny Laws begins bidding on trips, artworks, collectibles, furniture and other unusual items; The climax of the evening comes with the drawing of three special prizes.

Lord Fairfax Community College’s winter quarter will begin on Dec. 1, with open registration held Nov. 24, 25 and 26 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Anyone wishing to register prior to the open registration dates may do so on a walk-in basis beginning Nov. 17. The admissions office is open Monday-Thursday, from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuition is due at the time of registration.
