(John 10:10) He tempts us with £ 8 evil. When we are tempted with evil, S tf we are drawn away of our own lust ? Jand enticed, (James 1:14). James 3 y also says in verse 13 of chapter 1, that j S God cannot be tempted with evil nei- < ther tempteth he any man. God has 5 9J given us the Bible to teach and train j 5 and correct us. (2nd Tim. 3:16). He^ 8 does not need to teach or correct us i , with some form of evil. He is the one ] ^ Will I IVIIII Wl 0*11. IIV IO 11 IV VIIV j y that delivers us from evil. He is the! y one that delivers us from evil. God has j £ supplied us mighty armor. The Bible j ¥ calls it the “armor of God", in Ephe-! »sians Chap. 6, verses 10-18. We must I [ put on the whole armor of God so we j • can stand against the evil that comes ■ ’ against us. Putting on the armor of! t God means putting on Jesus, being j ’clothed with Jesus. j
We see in Eph. 6:14-17 all of they pieces of the armor. Loins girt about < 5 with truth, Jesus is truth (John 14:6). j ^Breastplate of righteousness, Jesus is j ¥ righteousness. (Is. 53:11). Feet shod! y with the gospel of peace, Jesus is our i 8 peace. (Eph. 2:14). Shield of faith, aj 1 shield is for protection. Jesus is ourJ great shepherd, our protector. (We! S must have our faith built up and trust j jin God with all our heart.) Helmet of J 2 salvation, Jesus is our salvation and! ¥the sword of the spirit, which is the! £ word of God. Jesus was the word, j gmade flesh. (John 1:14). We must be; ¥ clothed with Jesus and we must set! ’our love and affections on Him in or-i ;der to have God's protective hedge; t around us as the Bible says in Ps.; |91:14-16.
