The Historical Research laboratory has 1350 volumes which answer questions on the Revolutionary era and NSDAR history.

These various facilities are open to the public free during business hours, although non-members are charged a fee for use of the DAR Library.

Among special events at the National Archives in celebration of the Bicentennial of the Constitution will be an 87-hour vigil to honor the Constitution the week of September 17, 1987. New exhibits, a film festival and several new publications are also planned.
