Brown completes
basic training
Michael T. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown of Sperryville, has joined the Army under the Delayed Entry Program.
“I plan on capitalizing on my training and experience from the j Army to be competitive in the civilian work force,” he said.
He completed basic training at Fort Gordon, Ga., and is remaining there for his advanced individual training as a single channel radio operator. His permanent duty assignment is not yet known.'
Brown also quahfied for airborne school at Fort Benning, and a $2,000 enlistment bonus.
He is a June 1982 graduate of Rappahannock High School.
