Veterans Day

The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter, NSDAR, met on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, with Mrs. Z. R. Gutowski, Regent, presiding.
Mrs. James F. Harkness presented an article on illegal aliens from many countries crossing the Mexican border with many of them smuggling drugs at the same time. Some illegals even ship their belongings to the USA in time for their arrival.
Mrs. John Board, chairman of Constitution Week, reported on the upcoming celebrations of the Bicentennial of the Constitution. Events include - 1987, Framing of the Constitution; 1988, Ratifying of the Constitution, and 1989, Establishing a Government under the Constitution. Former Chief Justice Warren E.( Burger is chairing “We The People 200” on July 3-4, 1987, in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Board also reported that 36 members and friends toured the National Archives and the DAR Museum. Of major importance toward the 200th anniversary of the signing
