Try to avoid self-medication. Although there are many chemicals available, including alcohol, they only mask stress symptoms and do not help a person adjust to the stress itself.
Particularly during the holidays we all need to set reasonable goals and expectations for our time and efforts. Handling distress and managing stress, turning it into a positive force, will help make for a happier and more enjoyable season.
