“On April 4, a call was received by the Rappahannock County Fire and Rescue Dispatch Center as a possible broken neck. A 16-year old boy on a survey team at the top of Mount Marshall behind Flint Hill had been swinging on a grapevine, hit a tree and fell approximately 10 feet onto rocks below. He was reported to have ‘turned blue’.
“An Emergency Medical Technician from Sperryville Co. 7 and a driver from Washington Co. 1 answered the call as the Flint Hill medic unit was at Fauquier Hospital on another call. The Pegasus helicopter was requested to stand by.
