“The injured boy’s 14-year old cousin was doing Cardio-Pulmonary Resusitation by instructions given to him by the surveyor oefoi e he left to get help. The patient was cyanotic and unable to breathe without assistance. No initial wrist pulse could be found, but the rescuers were able to establish a carotid (neck) pulse. An EOA (airway tube) was inserted, and ventilations (breathing assistance) were begun by the EMT with assistance from the driver.
