Lions selling nuts!

The members of the Rappahannock Lions Club are selling Deluxe Mix Nuts (no peanuts) for $6 lb., fancy pecan halves (fresh crop) at $5 lb., and honey-roasted peanuts in 12 oz. tins for $3.

B&B open house and lour

The Bed and Breakfast Association of Rappahannock County is having an open house and tour Dec. 13. All seven B&B’s will be open. The tour will cost $5. At the end of the event innkeepers will get together and each will draw a ticket for a free overnight in their B&B. “This is a wonderful opportunity to see all the B&B’s in the county," said a member. For additional information call any B&B in Rappahannock.

Christmas fruitcakes on sale

The Amissville Ruritans are selling Christmas fruitcakes. This is one of two annual fundraising events sponsored by the Ruritans. Proceeds benefit youth baseball, scholarships for RCHS graduates and other projects. For more information contact any Amissville Ruritan member.

Fine gifts at Middle St.

The Middle Street Gallery in Washington will be displaying fine arts and crafts for holiday gifts. Oil paintings and sculpture, baskets cards, tree decorations and more will be available from the members of this fine cooperative gallery. Gallery hours are Fridays through Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., from Dec. 5 through Jan. 3. The gallery will also be taking part in the Colonial Christmas in Washington on Dec. 5 and 6. The Christmas Show will feature photographs by gallery member Anne Douglas Atherton of Warrepton. Ms. Atherton works in black and white, portraying the land and figures with a sensitive visual richness.
