Alpheus Atkins
Alpheus Snead Atkins, 46, of Culpeper, died Nov. 23 at the University of Virginia Hospital.
A native of Rappahannock County, he had lived in Culpeper for many years. He was a self-employed wood cutter.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Daisy Whorton Atkins, a daughter Mrs. Angela Atkins Gallimore, three sons, Adam S. Atkins, Alpheus S. Atkins Jr. and Kennie B. Atkins, his
parents, Woodrow Wilson and Vilonie Menefee Atkins, a brother Ricky Lee Atkins, all of Culpeper, and one grandchild Dustin A. Gallimore.
Funeral services were conducted Nov. 25 at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Milton Switzer. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.
William Hawkins
William Robert Hawkins Jr., 70, a retired farmer, died Nov. 24 at his residence in Culpeper.
A native of Rappahannock County, son of the late William Robert and Rosie Printz Hawkins, he had lived in Culpeper for many
years. He was a member of the Alum Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Virginia Jenkins Hawkins of Culpeper, a daughter Mrs. Jean H. Bryant
of Culpeper, two sisters, Mrs. Edna Yancey of Culpeper and Mrs. Roberta Collier of Unionville, and a brother Ray Hawkins of Culpeper.
Funeral services were conducted No. 28 at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William E. Wilkins
and Rev. R. W. Turner Jr. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.
