Precious Blood holds bazaar «

On Saturday, Dec. 5, the Christmas Crafters Bazaar will be held from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m., at the Parish Hall of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Main Street, Culpeper. Parking is available at the rear and luncheon will be served. The bazaar will feature many local crafters offering a variety of beautiful Christmas and country items, as well as grab-bag items and fresh homemade baked goods.

Make your own wreath

Make your own Christmas wreath! Friends of Blandy Farm have invited us to join them on Monday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. to make Christmas door wreaths at a cost of only $8.50. This includes frame, wire, ribbon and greenery. To make reservations, call the Extension Office at 675-3619. Space is limited, so call early!

Candlelight concert dates

The Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society will present its Christmas Candlelight Concert Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Church, 318 S. West St. Music Director Lois Shanks has selected sacred, classical and contemporary Advent and Christmas music to be performed by the 58-voice chorus. The concerts are free and open to the public. Christmas concert December 13

The Front Royal Oratorio Society’s Christmas program is set for Sunday, December 13, at 7:30 at the Presbyterian Church in Front Royal. The concert will include Handel’s Oh, Praise the Lord, Pergolesi s The Magnificat and Rutter’s Joy to the World. Admission is free and nursery service will be available.

Bloodmobile at PTEC

The Health Occupation Students of America Chapter 40, in cooperation with the American Red Cross and Piedmont Technical Education Center, will hold its annual bloodmobile on Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at PTEC in Culpeper. “Members of the community are welcome to participate as there is a severe shortage of blood in our area. We look forward to seeing you,” an HOS spokesman said.
