In bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. With fork, stir in crushed pineapple, 1 C. pecans, green pepper, onion, salt. Shape into ball. Roll in remaining nuts. Wrap tightly in foil or plastic. Refrigerate overnight.
Crackers make a nice accompaniment for cheese balls.
