“We’re a public forum,” said Peter Kramer, adding that the BZA can neither be held responsible for nor control what the public says in its forum. “I don’t think this board made any decision on her fleeing or not fleeing,” said Mr. Kramer, who had supported issuance of the special use permit at last month’s meeting. However, he seconded Mr. Gottlieb’s suggestion that the BZA send a letter of apology to Mrs. Davis.
The thrust of the communication from Mrs. Davis is that she will support Mrs. Wagner in any way possible to clear the matter up, Chairman Bird pointed out. “Well, the matter has been cleared up . . . There’s an antecedent history of misunderstandings in this matter and we walked into it,” he said, but agreed that a letter of apology would be appropriate and volunteered to write it for approval by the rest of the board.
No action was taken after an executive session on personnel. In the only other business at the November board meeting, the BZA voted unanimously to issue a one-year special use permit to Mr, and Mrs. John Ferdatta Jr. to use a mobile home while constructing a permanent residence on property on Route 642 in Jackson District.
