Craft bazaar at CMH
Back by popular demand, the CMH Craft Bazaar will be held on Dec. 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital lobby. Look to local crafters for unique answers to gift-giving needs. From homemade delectables, to hand-fashioned collectibles, toys for the tots, and trim for the tree .. . shoppers are sure to find something for everyone! Special box lunches will also be available for those who are caught up in the holiday rush.
Hospice’s annual meeting Dec. 3
The annual meeting for volunteers, general members and the board of directors of Hospice of the Rapidan will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at the Culpeper Baptist Church, South West Street, Culpeper.
Pat Kelley and Maggie Callanan, nurses from Hospice of Northern Virginia, will speak on communications of the dying. Nominees for the board of directors are Beth Perlmutter, Joella Bradshaw, Bud Glass, Mary Glen Carrington and Myra Price. Graduation for new volunteer trainees will be conducted by Chairman Pat Bankhead and Trainer Rosemays Sheatsley.
Mushroom growers confer
The Appalachian Mushroom Growers Conference will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Lynchburg on Saturday, Dec. 12. For additional information or directions, please call the Extension Office at 675-3619. Registration fee must be received no later than Dec. 4 and everyone must preregister to attend. No walk-in registrations will be allowed.
Landscape Design School will be held on Jan. 18-20 at the River Ridge Mall in Lynchburg. For details and registration form call the Extension Office.
