The club is involved in a number of fund-raising activities to provide the relatively large amounts of money needed to care for the club’s horses and ponies. These include bake and craft sales, as well as horse and equipment sales.
The hinds raised from these activities, Mrs. Knoll explained, go to pay for veterinary and farrier bills, saddlery and grooming supplies. There are also admission fees to the various shows throughout the area which members of the club attend and compete in. The club helps to sponsor the Rappahannock, Culpeper and Madison show each year. Club members are also eligible to attend summer camp, as well as state and district horse shows. These are often sponsored by clqb funds, Mr§.
