Rappahannock News photo/Lou Hatter THREE PEOPLE RECEIVED MINOR injuries in this accident Monday morning on Rt. 647 just north of Flint Hill. According to Trooper C. A. Moore, a 1986 Volvo station wagon driven by Peggy Banker of Flint Hill was southbound. It was struck head-on by a 1983 Toyota driven by Howard Coon of Castleton as the two cars met on a blind curve. Mrs. Banker and her three-year-old son, who were both wearing seat belts, were taken to Fauquier Hospital and treated. Mr. Coon, who was not wearing a seat belt according to Trooper Moore, was treated at the Rappahannock Medical Clinic.“Mr. Coon apparently failed to keep to the right of the road,” Trooper Moore said. Charges are pending in the accident. Trooper Moore estimated damage to the Volvo at $6,000 and $5,000 to the Toyota.
