Events scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, the 13th annual Peter Muhlenberg Day, are as follows:
• A guided walking tour of historic homes will leave from the Woodstock Museum on West Court Street at 10 a.m. Self guided tours will also be available.
• An antique quilt exhibit will be held at the Marshall House, birthplace of John Marshall, at West Court and South Muhlenberg Streets.
• The Shenandoah Archives will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The Woodstock Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and special Muhlenberg items are scheduled to be displayed.
• A re-enactment of the famous Muhlenberg sermon based on the third chapter of Ecclesiastes will be presented by the Narrow Passage Chapter, NSDAR, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church on East Court Street at 1:30 p.m.
• The dedication and unveiling will be held at approximately 2:30 p.m. Dr. John Eisenberg, a noted authority on Peter Muhlenberg is the guest speaker.
• Following the dedication, there will be a tour of the Shenandoah County Farm, home of the Muhlenbergs during the Revolution. The sermon re-enactment will be re peated, also, if there is enough demand.
