From early September to the day before the tour the Parish Hall is a beehive of activity as squads of ladies prepare the arrangements which run in size from large elaborate table center-pieces to small ones suitable for a large doll house.

The other attraction for the weekend is the tour of three Rappahannock County homes chosen for their architectural, interior design or historical interest.

Beginning in the center of Washington there is Cabin Fever, home of Linda and Dean Morehouse. This is a grouping of three old buildings, now joined, two of which facing Main Street served Washington as shops since the 1700s; deeds to the property can be traced to 1752.
