Technical Education Week

The students and faculty who participate in the 16 vocational education programs offered by Piedmont Technical Education Center will observe National Technical Education Week, Feb. 12-18.

This year's theme is “Vocational Education: Building Tomorrow's Leaders." The week, according to PTEC principal john J. Bodine “will give students a chance to show off what they know and dp in a variety of fields, from computers to health occupations, to trades and home economics. We want to educate the community about the level of skills our , students gain here and encourage them to find out how vocational education teaches young people the skills they'll need to become productive workers — and community leaders." The school plans a variety of activities to mark the national observance, including skill and leadership contests.
