The untimely death of Dr. Lynn on Aug. 27 made it necessary for the board to reassess Mrs. Lynn’s appointment. It was decided that, in the two-year transition stage during which the EDUCO Wakefield Foundation becomes formalized, Mrs. Lynn would be the best person to guide the reorganization process and the ongoing academic program of the school.
A June 1990 date was set to reassess the school’s needs and Mrs. Lynn’s position.
Wakefield School has 315 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through 12. The 308 day students come from 12 counties in Virginia and West Virginia.
