“Despite the extensive publicity given to the numerous arrests made during 1987 and 1988 for illegal hunting in Shenandoah National Park, there is evidence that illegal hunting activities are apparently continuing,” Park Superintendent J.W. Wade said Friday.
He made his comments at Shenandoah National Park Headquarters near Luray, as Park Rangers prepared for court appearances with seven persons charged with recent hunting-related violations in the Park. The charges stem from three separate incidents, Superintendent Wade s&id.
