foods
Warren Memorial Hospital is celebrating National Nutrition Month by offering “Happy Heart Choices," set up by the American Heart Association through the month of March.
This offers everyone the opportunity to celebrate good health, good nutrition and good food! A hospital spokesman said. Everyday through the month of March, something will be offered low in cholesterol, calories and sodium. The majority of foods will be under 250 calories with the exception of two meals.
The public is invited to come to the hospital at any time to help Warren Memorial Hospital celebrate National Nutrition Month. Meals are served in the cafeteria with breakfast from 6:45-8:30 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and dinner from 4:30-6 p.m.
To add to the celebration, nutrition lectures will be available March 10, 17, 31 from noon-1 p.m. and March 23 from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. in the hospital conference room. Topics for the lectures will be Eating for Cancer Prevention, Healthy Dieting, Eating for a Healthy Heart and How to have a General Well-Balanced Diet.
The public is welcome to purchase their food in the hospital cafeteria line or bring their own lunch.
